"Be involved in preparing girls for a future that offers wellbeing, empowerment and a sense of belonging."
Since 2003 Girl Power Facilitator Training has trained workers in First Nation communities and non-profit agencies throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan and gradually spreading throughout Canada. The 1-2 day training prepares participants to launch a pre-adolescent girl’s group in their community and is designed for community leaders, educators, social workers, counsellors, elders, parents and others who support girls’ growth and development.
Why wait for problem’s to develop in girls’ lives? Girl Power Facilitator Training will provide participants with all the resources to establish a pro-active empowerment program for girl’s ages 9-12 years old.
First Nations Focus assists girls to:
• Believe in themselves
• Broaden their definition of beauty
• Stay true to their values and perceptions

• Make healthier decisions when faced with peer pressure
Girl Power helps our girls AVOID:
• Drugs and Alcohol
• Depression
• Street life, gang life and violence
